Senior Vice President, Site & Patient Solutions
Alison has over 17 years of clinical research experience, focused on clinical data operations, clinical system implementations, relationship management and transformational change strategies. In her current role, Alison leads the Site & Patient Solutions service area. Prior to her current role, Alison was SVP, Global Head of Data Operations and Risk Based Monitoring where she managed a team of 900+ employees.Her previous roles included VP, Strategic Alliance Management at ICON, where she managed key client accounts as well as the large-scale transition of studies to ICON from a large pharmaceutical client. Subsequently she led all clinical development process, quality and reporting solutions for this function. Prior to joining ICON, Alison worked within Accenture’s R&D Life Science Practice as a Manager on various system implementation projects and as a Project Manager at Phase Forward/Oracle. She has gained extensive experience in transformational change initiatives for many of the top pharmaceutical companies. Alison holds a BA (Mod) Natural Sciences, Chemistry from Trinity College Dublin and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Studies, Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD.
Vice President, Accellacare Site Services
Dinah has been working in the clinical research industry for over 25 years and in her current role is leading the Accellacare Site Network for North America. She started her career working at University Park Research Center as a study coordinator then moving to the CRO side as a CRA and progressing in various study leadership roles. She moved to Sarah Cannon Research Institute as Director of Clinical Operations working closely with the site network on both sponsor and investigator initiated trials.
Dinah has been at ICON for over 11 years and has held many leadership roles across multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, cardiovascular, rare disease, vaccines, dermatology, CNS and gastrointestinal. She has over 5 years’ experience leading and overseeing the operational delivery of large Tier 1 partnerships with the largest having over 75 active studies and achieving over $300 million in new awards. Dinah lead the operational delivery of the first Pfizer COVID vaccine study with over 48,000 subjects enrolled, receiving Emergency Use Authorization in an unprecedented 247 days and full FDA approval in record time.
Dinah holds a BA in Mathematics from Purdue University and Post Graduate Diploma in International Business Management, University College of Dublin, Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.
Vice President, EMEA Operations, Accellacare
Michala Worrell is Vice President, Operations, EMEA for Accellacare, ICON’s global site network. Prior to this, Michala worked at ICON for six years as Senior Director managing a team of Project Managers and Directors in Oncology & Cell Therapeutics division in addition to serving as the operations lead for a key strategic client overseeing a large portfolio of trials in various indications. Before joining ICON Michala worked for ten years at AstraZeneca holding a number of project management positions with increasing levels of responsibility and then joined Quintiles where she spent three years as the Oncology Portfolio Lead for a strategic partner. Michala holds a post-graduate certificate in management from Leicester University.
Vice President, Accellacare In-Home Services
Jodie Huddleston is the Vice President of Accellacare In-Home Services at ICON plc. She has over 25 years of experience in clinical trials leadership in translational research, clinical strategy, business development and clinical operations. Prior to joining ICON, Jodie was the Senior Director, Mobile Research Solutions for IQVIA, where she built a new division within IQVIA’S Decentralized Trials division specializing in mobile research nursing and phlebotomy services to support clinical trial visits in the home.
Jodie also built homecare clinical trials strategy and operations as the Principal of Huddleston Consultancy and worked as the Director of Clinical Trials for CVS/Coram Specialty Infusion, leading their direct-to-patient clinical trials division. Throughout her career, she has also built new service offerings for several large organizations in academia, community hospitals, and clinical trial support organizations.
Senior Director, Site Network Mobilisation, Accellacare
Scott Palmese is Senior Director, Site Network Mobilisationfor Accellacare (part of ICON, plc).In his role, he leads a team with the goal of growing and harmonisingoperations across the Accellacare network.Prior to his current role, Scott was Vice President of Site Operations at ClinX, LLC, overseeing several key business functions including business development and site network operations for sister companies ClinEdge, BTC Network, and Guidestar Research.
Before that, Scott was an operations coordinator for one of the largest clinical research sites in the United States.Scott is a specialist in site operations and has worked in the industry for over 10 years, supporting sites with everything from business development and patient recruitment to financial operations and organisationalstructure.Through his extensive site experience, Scott has learned how to operate sites effectively and has spent the better part of his career working with sites to help them grow and streamline their operations.
